Since 2011, Bibi Ravinder Kaur Khalsa Ji has consistently highlighted one powerful truth: if children disconnect from Punjabi (Gurmukhi), they eventually struggle to connect with Shabad Guru. Through Gurmat vichaar and child-focused learning, her mission has been to make Punjabi a living bridge to understanding Guru Sahib’s teachings—not just a language subject.
Bibi Ji explains that Gurbani is experienced most deeply when a child can read Gurmukhi, understand the meanings, and feel the message. Her emphasis is simple: Punjabi learning is not “optional” for Sikh kids—it is the key to connecting with Guru Granth Sahib Ji in an authentic way.
Over the years, she has encouraged and supported focused learning spaces for kids where they can learn Punjabi/Gurmukhi basics, correct pronunciation, and Gurbani understanding in a calm, loving environment—so children grow up with confidence, faith, and clarity.
A big part of her message is for parents: bring Punjabi back into daily life—at home, in conversation, and in learning. When families support Punjabi, children naturally develop a stronger relationship with Sikhi and Gurmat values.
Her focus is not only on reading but on understanding (not memorization alone)—so kids learn the spirit of Gurbani, apply it in life, and build a lasting bond with Guru Sahib’s teachings.
Newspaper Highlight (Nov 2011)
A strong reminder shared in print: moving away from Punjabi means moving away from the Guru’s message—because Gurbani’s language is the doorway to understanding Shabad.
Newspaper Highlight (Dec 2011)
Reinforcing the same lifelong mission—Punjabi/Gurmukhi learning for children so they can truly connect with Guru Sahib, values, and the meanings of Gurbani.
